A Simple Check-In Can Bring Real Peace of Mind
Wellness visits are scheduled, non-medical check-ins for people who live alone or would benefit from an extra point of contact during the week. A visit provides companionship, practical reassurance, and an opportunity to notice changes in the home or routine that should be shared with an authorized family contact.
A Wellness Visit May Include
- A friendly in-person check-in
- Conversation and social engagement
- A general observation of the client’s comfort and usual routine
- Meal or hydration reminders
- Help organizing mail, calendars, or upcoming appointments
- A quick review of commonly used household areas for visible concerns
- Confirmation that essential household items are available
- An authorized family update after the visit
What We Observe—and What We Do Not
Our team may note visible, non-clinical changes such as unusual confusion, a missed routine, limited food in the home, or an obvious household safety concern. We share observations according to the care plan. We do not diagnose conditions, conduct medical assessments, interpret symptoms, or replace a healthcare professional.
Emergency Limitations
A wellness visit is not continuous monitoring and cannot guarantee that an emergency will be detected. If there is an immediate safety or medical emergency, call 911.
A Flexible Layer of Support
Wellness visits can stand alone or be combined with companion care, errands, homemaker services, or transportation. Frequency and visit length are based on the client’s needs and available scheduling.
