Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rules that apply when you visit our website, submit a form, use an online portal, purchase a digital product, enroll in a course, request transportation, or begin an online service inquiry.
Website Terms Are Not a Care Contract
Submitting an online request does not establish a client relationship, guarantee service, reserve an employee, or replace a signed service agreement.
Understand acceptable platform use
No diagnosis, treatment, or emergency response
Services require review and written confirmation
Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information
Please Read These Terms Before Using the Website

Additional agreements may apply to care services, transportation, employment, education, digital purchases, portal access, or other specific programs. When a specific written agreement conflicts with these general website Terms, the specific agreement controls for the subject it governs.

An Online Request Is Only the Beginning of the Review Process
Visiting the website, submitting a form, creating an account, requesting transportation, selecting a package, scheduling a consultation, or making an initial payment does not automatically establish an active client-service relationship.
Care or transportation services begin only after the company has completed its review and the parties have agreed to the applicable service scope, schedule, pricing, responsibilities, safety requirements, and written terms.
The company may accept, decline, modify, postpone, or refer a request based on:
Use Accurate Information and Protect Your Account
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when using forms, portals, applications, purchases, or account features.
When you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password
- Using a unique and secure password
- Preventing unauthorized access to your account
- Notifying the company promptly about suspected misuse
- Keeping your contact information current
- Using the account only for lawful and authorized purposes
You may not use another person’s account without authorization. Authorized family members may only access client information to the extent permitted by the client, applicable law, and company records.
Provide Only Information Necessary for the Request
You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted through the website is accurate and that you have permission to provide information about another person.
Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information through a general form, including:
- Social Security numbers
- Full bank or payment-card numbers
- Account passwords
- Complete medical records
- Unrequested government identification
- Unnecessary background reports
- Private information about another person without authority
Secure Submission Processes
When identity, tax, payroll, payment, screening, care, or other confidential documentation is needed, use only the secure process designated by One Companion & Homemakers.
The company may delete, quarantine, restrict, or decline to process information that appears unsafe, irrelevant, unlawful, malicious, or submitted without proper authorization.
Use the Website Lawfully and Respectfully
You agree not to use the website, platform, portals, forms, or related services to:
Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive conduct.
Attempt to view another person’s records or account without authorization.
Introduce malware, overload systems, interfere with operations, or bypass security.
Misrepresent identity, authority, qualifications, service needs, or payment details.
Threaten, intimidate, exploit, discriminate against, or abuse users, applicants, staff, or clients.
Reproduce, sell, scrape, republish, or exploit protected content without authorization.
All Requests Remain Subject to Confirmation
Website schedules, product listings, calendar options, and estimated availability do not guarantee that a requested employee, provider, date, time, route, or service will be available.
A booking is confirmed only when the company issues an express confirmation through an approved communication method.
The company may need to adjust or cancel a proposed service because of:
- Employee illness or unavailability
- Client safety or service-scope concerns
- Weather or hazardous travel conditions
- Incomplete forms or missing authorization
- Payment or billing concerns
- Vehicle or transportation limitations
- Operational emergencies
- Events outside the company’s reasonable control
Published Prices May Be Starting Rates
Prices shown on the website may represent starting rates, estimates, deposits, packages, or standard service blocks.
The final price may depend on:
- Service duration

- Waiting time
- Parking and tolls
- Number of approved stops
- Evening, weekend, or holiday scheduling

Applicable charges, deposits, cancellation terms, refunds, package expiration dates, and recurring-payment conditions will be disclosed through the relevant product page, checkout, invoice, service agreement, or payment authorization.
The company may suspend future services or account features when valid payment obligations remain unresolved, subject to applicable law and the controlling service agreement.
Specific Service Terms Control
Cancellation, rescheduling, credit, package-expiration, deposit, and refund rules may differ between care services, transportation, courses, digital products, consultations, and other offerings.
The applicable product page, checkout notice, invoice, service agreement, or written confirmation will identify the controlling terms.
Unless otherwise required by law:

Clients or authorized representatives must disclose relevant travel information before confirmation, including:
One Companion & Homemakers does not provide ambulance transportation, emergency medical transportation, or medically supervised transportation.
Education Does Not Create a Professional License
Articles, guides, courses, checklists, videos, templates, certificates, and other educational materials are provided for general educational and administrative purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, completion of a course or receipt of a certificate:

- Does not guarantee employment
- Does not guarantee a client assignment
- Does not authorize clinical services
- Does not replace required government or employer training
- Does not establish legal, medical, tax, or financial expertise
Professional Review
Templates, policies, service forms, business-development resources, and agency materials may require review by a qualified attorney, accountant, insurer, regulator, healthcare professional, or other licensed adviser before use.
You remain responsible for determining whether a resource is appropriate for your circumstances and jurisdiction.
Website Content Remains Protected
Unless otherwise stated, the website, company branding, written content, forms, page layouts, photographs, graphics, videos, course materials, downloads, software, dashboards, workflows, and related materials are owned by or licensed to One Companion & Homemakers, LLC.

You may not, without written permission:
- Resell or redistribute protected materials
- Publish downloads publicly
- Remove ownership notices
- Copy substantial website content
- Create competing products from protected materials
- Use branding in a misleading manner
- Scrape or systematically extract platform content
- Reverse engineer restricted software features
External Providers Maintain Their Own Terms
The website may connect to third-party services for payment processing, maps, scheduling, email, video, forms, background screening, electronic signatures, course delivery, hosting, analytics, or other functionality.
Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy practices. One Companion & Homemakers does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their independent content, availability, security, or practices.
Notice
Do Not Use the Website to Report an Active Emergency
Forms, email, voicemail, portal messages, booking tools, and website chat features are not monitored as emergency-response systems.
Call 911 for immediate danger, a medical emergency, fire, suspected serious injury, or an urgent safety threat.
“Do not wait for a website response when immediate emergency assistance is needed.”
Review Our Privacy Policy
Our collection and handling of information through the website is further described in the Privacy Policy.
By submitting a form or creating an account, you authorize the company to respond using the contact information provided. Depending on your request and preferences, communications may include email, telephone calls, text messages, portal notifications, appointment confirmations, service updates, account notices, and administrative follow-up.
Standard carrier messaging or data charges may apply. You may request that non-essential promotional messages stop, but the company may continue sending necessary service, safety, account, billing, or transactional notices.
Access May Be Restricted When Necessary
The company may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account, portal, course, form, purchase feature, or website service when reasonably necessary to:
- Protect clients, staff, users, or systems
- Investigate suspected fraud or unauthorized access
- Enforce these Terms or another applicable agreement
- Respond to nonpayment or disputed authorization
- Comply with law, court order, or regulatory direction
- Prevent harassment, abuse, or misuse
- Maintain or repair the platform
Termination of website access does not automatically cancel financial, confidentiality, ownership, or other obligations that arose before termination.
The Website Is Provided for General Access and Information
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its general informational materials are provided on an “as available” basis.
The company does not guarantee that:
- Every website feature will always be available
- Every form will be transmitted without delay
- All content will remain free from typographical errors
- A requested service or employee will be available
- Educational information will fit every circumstance
- Third-party services will operate without interruption
Nothing on the public website constitutes medical, legal, tax, insurance, investment, or emergency advice.
Applicable Law Controls Available Remedies
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, One Companion & Homemakers, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising solely from website use, inability to access the website, reliance on general informational content, or unauthorized misuse of an account.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be waived, limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or alter duties contained in an executed client-service agreement.
Responsibility for Misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, material violation of these Terms, unauthorized submission of another person’s information, infringement of third-party rights, or intentional interference with the platform.
Connecticut Law Applies
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law controls.
Before filing a legal action concerning website use, the parties should first make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter through direct written communication.
Nothing in this section prevents a person from contacting an appropriate regulator, filing a legally protected complaint, reporting suspected abuse or exploitation, or seeking emergency relief.
Contact the Company First
Questions, complaints, billing concerns, accessibility issues, privacy concerns, or service-related problems may be submitted through the appropriate company page.
Connecticut Consumer Complaints
Consumers may also have the right to contact the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection regarding a registered homemaker-companion agency.
Using the company’s internal complaint process does not eliminate any right to contact an appropriate government agency.
Terms May Be Updated as the Platform Develops
The company may revise these Terms to reflect changes in law, services, technology, payment tools, policies, or operational practices.
The revised version will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website after a revision becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
Complete Website Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not permanently waive the right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any specific policy, checkout notice, portal agreement, or written service agreement that applies to a particular transaction, constitute the relevant agreement for website and platform use.
